Text Box: With all the news stories about the health effects of a sedentary lifestyle, I’ve been taking advantage of the fact that University Park is a great place to walk – with lots of sidewalks and easy access to many activities.  One of my latest trips has been up Tower Text Box: Street to see how local designer-builder Will Alphin has transformed 915 Tower Street from a vacant cinder block building into his home and studio.  Next door, artist Dawn Leonard is putting the finishing touches on her own home and studio.  Both projects are Text Box: striking and might remind folks of when Frank Harmon’s colorful modernist home arrived at the corner of Vanderbilt and Brooks. Text Box: We have had many new families move into the neighborhood recently. I would like to make sure that everyone who buys a home in University Park and everyone who is a long-term renter in our neighborhood Text Box: has an opportunity to join our organization. The only way they learn about UPHA is through members like you.
